What is Silly Goose?
Silly Goose is a free iPhone app for life admin. It remembers your contracts, subscriptions, free trials, expiring documents and appointments, works out the date that actually matters, and reminds you before it costs you money.
Which app reminds me to cancel a subscription before it renews?
Silly Goose does. Tell it whether you are keeping a subscription. If you are not, or have not decided, it reminds you while there is still time to cancel, more than once. If you are keeping it, it stays quiet.
How can I keep track of cancellation deadlines (Kündigungsfristen)?
Forward the contract email, share the PDF, photograph the contract or type one line. Silly Goose reads the minimum term and the notice period and turns "ends 30 November, 30 days' notice" into "act by 31 October". You can also calculate a Kündigungsfrist or a cancellation deadline here for free.
Is there an app that tells me when my passport expires?
Yes. Silly Goose tracks passports, ID cards, driver's licences and residence permits. For a passport it reminds you six months before the printed expiry, because many countries refuse entry with less validity left.
Does it work for expats in Germany?
Yes. It understands German contracts and the Kündigungsfrist rules, suggests the services people in Germany typically have, and works in English, German, Hebrew, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Russian.
Can it find my subscriptions automatically?
If you connect an Outlook or Hotmail inbox, it looks for contract, subscription and booking emails, keeps only the facts and checks again every day. Nothing is tracked until you confirm it. Gmail is available to invited testers while Google's review is pending.
Does Silly Goose cancel subscriptions for me?
It gets you there: it opens the provider's cancellation page, drafts a cancellation letter with the right wording and dates, and asks two weeks later whether the provider confirmed. The final step is yours.
Is my data private?
Silly Goose keeps only the facts it works out, never your emails. It has no ads and no tracking, sells nothing, and you can delete your account and everything in it with one button. See the privacy policy.
What does it cost?
It is free today. Paid plans called Plus and Pro are planned for tracking more things and for reading your inbox. Nothing is charged until you choose a plan, and the app says clearly what is free.
